Go to the Texture Set section in the Object window and duplicate an existing horse texture set. Double click on the Diffuse line and select your new texture. The new Texture should be in a directory of its own; in the example my texture is in Textures\actors\horseR. If you have a "normal" version of the texture (the dds file will have an "_n" at the end of the filename) then select this for the Normal/gloss line - if not leave the default one there. |
Go to the Armour Addon section in the object window and duplicate an existing horse AA file and call it something sensible. Either use the default model (horse.nif) or click on the Biped model to bring up the model data window and select your own model from wherever you have it in the meshes directory. Click OK then open the biped model again to change the textures. |
In the Model Data window you need to change the textures on horse:1 and horse:0 and if you have a new mane texture horse:2 and for new eys Horse:3. When you double click the list of Texture Sets will come up pick your new texture. |
Now you need to creat a Skin. Go to the Armour Addon section in the object window and duplicate an existing horse skin file and call it something sensible.
